Shawn Mertz

I am a native of Buffalo, NY but I have been proud to call North Alabama home for almost 20 years.  I received my Bachelors degree from Liberty University and have completed graduate work at Purdue University.  The bulk of my professional career has been spent working in the financial services industry, previously as a lender and executive at several local banks.  I made the transition to the insurance industry because I am passionate about helping people understand both their personal finances, and how the financial system works. It’s an honor to ensure my clients have adequate protection in place in order to prepare for life’s uncertainties.  Outside of the office, I am an active member of Daystar Church in Madison and love spending spare time with my wonderful daughter Annabelle.  I’m an avid soccer fan, as well as the Buffalo Bills, Auburn Tigers, and Madison Academy Mustangs.
